COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 23, 1961 <br />287 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in <br />the Council Chambars, City Hall, on Monday, January 23, 1961, at 8:12 P.M., with all members present. The meeting <br />was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE PROJECT EXPENDITURES ACCOUNT <br />FUND (URBAN REDEVELOPMENT BOND FUND) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Miss Virginia Guthrie of the Civic Planning Association was heard. <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Allen seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN 1960 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />($372,450.67) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorab: <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT $1,420.00 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SOUTH BEND - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />BUILDING AUTHORITY <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. The Members of the Building Authority had received an invitation from the <br />Council to attend this hearing. Present at the meeting were the following: Eugene Pajakowski, President; Robert <br />Fischgrund, Secretary, George Coquillard, Treasurer and John Woolverton, Member; (These gentlemen are all Commission- <br />ers). Also present was Mr. John McIntyre, Trustee. Councilman Coleman asked that the Capital Improvement Committee <br />of the Council meet with the Members of the Building Authority. Councilman Kroll requested.-the BuildingAuthority <br />to furnish copies of the minutes of their meetings to members of the Common Council. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Krueper made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion.
