The following action was taken: After due consideration the Commission found that the proposed zoning represented a continuation of strip zoning. It was therefore duly moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the petition be recommended unfavorably to the Common Council. HB /mah Attach. After some discussion Councilman Muszynski withdrew his motion and Councilman Lehman withdrew his second to the motion. Then, Councilman Muszynski moved that the Ordira nce be set for public hearing on January 23, 1961. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4356 - - -61 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ALL PARKING METER FEES AND FUNDS TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE USES AND PURPOSES SET FORTH THEREIN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 536 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF INDIANA OF 1945, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 303 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1951 The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. ORDINANCE NO. 4357 - - -61 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN OPTION TO RENEW A LEASE BETWEEN THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND NORTHERN INDIANA TRANSIT, INC., AN INDIANA CORPORATION FOR THE PREMISES KNOWN AND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: A CERTAIN GARAGE SPACED LOCATED AT 402 S. NOTRE DAME STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BEING AN AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 4,000 SQUARE FEET, WHICH AREA IS NOW COMMONLY KNOWN AS "BUS DRIVERS' ROOM AND EXTEND SOUTHERLY TO THE SOUTH END OF THE BUILDING A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 180 FEET, PLUS AN AREA APPROXIMATELY 22 FEET WEST OF A ROW OF STEEL POSTS.
