MEETING 1961 283 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, January 9, 1961, at 8:12 P.M., with_ all members present. The meeting was called to order by Councilman. T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNWON AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Real Estate involved located on Portage Avenue - -700 Block) The public hearing on this ordinance having been previously held and this being the time set for action by the Council on said Ordinance, Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion lost "upon a roll call vote of S nays, 4 ayes (The vote was as follows: Voting aye were Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Glass and Muszynski'.. Voting nay were Councilmen Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Krueper and Lehman) ORDINANCE ORDINANCE NO. 4360 - - -61 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Persons heard were: Councilmen Coleman and Ladewski and Nr. Lee Widener, 1617 Caroline Street. Councilman Krueper made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Council- man Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made.a motion to adjourn. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. ATTEST: APPROVED: CLERK 0 PRESIDENT
