COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 28, 1960 <br />273 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole, <br />in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, November 28, 1960, with all members present except Councilmen Allen <br />and Tellson. The meeting was called to order by Councilman T. W. Lehman, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />(700 Block Portage) <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Coleman made a few remarks and Louis Anderson, Attorney for petition <br />replied to him. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the matter be set over until December 12, 1960. Councilman <br />Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />(1301 N. Michigan Street) <br />This being the time heretofore s (3t,for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Attorney F. Jay Nimtz, spoke for petitioners. Councilman Coleman made a <br />motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY - OFFICE OF THE BOARD <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorabl <br />Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN STREET AND TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT $5,000.00 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SOUTH BEND - ST. JOSEPH COUNTY <br />BUILDING AUTHORITY. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and opponents were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion.
