Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council <br />Chambers,-'Monday, October 24, 1960, at 7:53 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Lehman. The meeting <br />was called to order by President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Kroll, Allen, Ladewski, Tellson, Coleman, Glass, Krueper and Muszynski. <br />ABSENT: Councilman Lehman. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have examined <br />the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same <br />be approved. <br />Joseph T. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />To the Common Council October 17, 1960 <br />City of South Bend <br />RE: Your Directive of October 13, 1960 <br />Gentlemen: <br />With reference to the petition by Councilman Lehman, signed by 51 property owners to improve Caroline Street from <br />Bowman and Donald to Fix Street by the erection of Stop or Yield Signs, this matter was brought before the Board <br />of Public Works and Safety at its regular meeting of October 17, 1960. <br />After examination, the petition was referred to the Traffic Engineer for investigation and report. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />/s/ Anthony J. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF TRAFFIC ENGINEER <br />Members of South Bend Common Council <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />October 24, 1960 <br />RE: Petition for traffic control at <br />Caroline Street at its intersection <br />with Bowman, Donald and Fix Streets <br />At the last regular session of the South Bend Common Council on October 10, 1960, a petition was presented for <br />installation of traffic control signs at the above mentioned interesections. <br />Upon instructions from the Board of Public Works and Safety, to whom the petition was forwarded, this department <br />investigated and recommended signs be placed to correct the situation. <br />CFH /f <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />/s/ Clem F.
