KLUUU -1-K ripL'1INU vviva,a+i� sv, iivv <br />The Clerk then gave the ordinance its third reading and it was passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />II ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE OFFICE OF THE CONTROLLER <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,106.92 FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1960 <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman glass made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be set for public hearing on October 24, 1960. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the Ordinance relating to use and control of Plastic Bags be set for public <br />hearing on October 24, 1960. Councilman Lehman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />11 OLD BUSINESS <br />Councilman Muszynski complained about the railroad crossings at Arnold Street and Prairie Avenue. Councilman Allen <br />made a motion that the railroads that are implicated in this controversy be immediately notified that the Common <br />Council expects them, in conformance with a meeting held in November of 1959, to proceed with the repair of these <br />railroad crossings with due dispatch. Councilman Coleman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />11 NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Lehman presented a petition bearing 51 signatures requesting improvement of Caroline Street from Bowman <br />Street to Fox Street by erecting either Stop of Yield signs at intersections. He asked that the traffic Engineer <br />make a study of this area and report to the Board of Public Works and Safety for action. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn. Councilman <br />Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried and the regular meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 8:43 P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />APPROVED: <br />President <br />
