PETITION <br />Petition was received from Henry M. and Florence E. Kelly to tezone land located at 1301 North Michigan Street. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Glass <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS <br />Report of the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />September 20, 1960 <br />RE: Your Directive of September 13, 1960, with reference to a Motion made by Councilman Glass, Seconded by Council <br />Lehman and duly Carried, concerning the possibility of procuring a patrol boat for the St. Joseph River in order to <br />discourage speeding on the river, the followong actions was taken by the Board of Public Works and Safety at its <br />meeting of September 19, 1960: <br />The Chief of Police was directed to make an investigation of this and report his findings back to the Board. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />/s/ Anthony J. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF TRAFFIC ENGINEER <br />Members of the Common Council <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />September 22, 1960 <br />Re: Petition bearing 1745 signatures <br />requesting Traffic light at <br />Lombardy and Western <br />At the September 12th regular session of the Common Council a petition for installation of Traffic Lights at Western <br />and Lombardy was presented by Councilman Muszynski. <br />I have forwarded this petition to the State Highway Department at LaPorte District and will report back to the <br />Council as soon as results and recommendations have been received from the Traffic Engineer of that district. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />/s/ Clem F.
