The First Parcel being bounded on the South by the New York Central Railroad Right of Way, on -the <br />West by Chapin Street, on the North by the first East and West alley North of Monroe Street, <br />and on the East by Scott Street. <br />And the Second Parcel being bounded on the South by the New York Central Railroad Right of Way, <br />on the West by Laurel Street, on the North by the first East and West alley North of <br />Monroe Street, and on the East by Chapin Street, excepting therefrom a parcel of land owned <br />by Armour & Company and being in the Southeast corner thereof. <br />And the Third Parcel comprising approximately Four and Eighty -three Hundredths (4.83) acres of <br />land lying West of Laurel Street between the New York Central Railroad Right of Way and <br />the Grand Trunk Railroad Right of Way, <br />for the purpose of constructing thereon a low -rent housing project consisting of approximately 350 units; <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Committee of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has <br />inspected said site and has determined that it would be a desirable location for the construction of a low -rent <br />housing project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That a <br />site consisting of Three (3) parcels of land in the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereinabove described, be and the <br />same is hereby approved as a desirable site for a low rent housing project consisting of approximately 350 units <br />to be constructed by The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indlana. <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. <br />carried by a vote of 8 ayes, 1 nay (Councilman Allen). Resolution adopted. <br />Mo t ion <br />There being no further business set for the Special Meeting of the Council, Councilman Glass made a motion to <br />adjourn..
