COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING AND REGULAR MEETING COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING FEBRUARY 8, 1960 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council' Chambers in the City Hall, on Monday, February 8, 1960, at 8:09 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order by Councilman Lehman, Chairman, who presided. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING 114 THE 1959 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND THE SUM OF $52,947.66 Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this Ordinance. Councilman Kroll made a motion that the proposed Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Ladewski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND (Light Petition -- -East Jefferson) This being the date heretofore set for Public Hearing on the above Ordinance, Comes now petitioner, Herman Light, and files the following letter: Common Council of South Bend, Indiana: Mr. President & fellow Councilmen. 2 -8 -60 8: P.M. If it would be your pleasure, The Light Co., Inc., would appreciate leave to withdraw our zoning petition without prejudice. The Light Co., Inc. By: /s/ Herman Light, Pres. Councilman Kroll made a motion to accept the letter and place it on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Kroll stated that he had signed the Ordinance, and therefore would move that the Ordinance be withdrawn. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kroll made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Glass seconded the motion.
