Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council
<br />Chambers, Monday, January 25, 1960, at 9:38 P.M., with all members present. The meeting was called to order by.
<br />President Joseph T. Kroll, who presided.

<br />MEMO TO: Mrs. Freda Noble, City Clerk January 25, 1960
<br />SUBJECT: Report to the Common Council regarding Railroad Crossings
<br />I have had two meetings with officials of the Railroad Companuies, namely, Wabash and N.J. I and I and the
<br />Grand Trunk, -recently and the latter part of 1959 with the local officials of the New York Central. They all agreed
<br />that as soon as the weather permits a number of their crossings will need attention.
<br />At this time I still do not know of any remedy for the difficulty at the Twyckenham crossing.

<br />On January 11, 1960 at the regular City of South Bend Council meeting a request was made by Councilman Mus
<br />ski that I appear before you on January 25th to explain the procedure necessary to obtain a traffic signal at the
<br />intersection of Mayflower Road (SR 123) and Sample Street (SR 223).
