164 <br />SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 30, 1959 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Special Session in the Council <br />Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, November 30, 1959, at 8:35 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Erhardt <br />and Councilman Muszynski. The meeting was called to order by Stanley C. Korpal, President, who presided. <br />The Clerk read the following Call for Special Meeting: <br />STATE OF INDIANA <br />COUNTY OF ST. JOSEPH SS: CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />To the President and Members of the Common Council of'the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Gentlemen: <br />You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by law as Mayor of the City of South <br />Bend, "in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting of the Common Council of said City is hereby called to meet in the <br />Council Chambers in the City Hall, at the hour of 8 :30 P.M., on Monday, November 30, 1959 for the purpose of taking <br />action on the following: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONEY FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 1959 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Force is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice <br />on each and every member of the Common Council and make due return of such service of said Special Meeting. <br />Dated this 27th day of November, 1959. <br />/s/ Edward F. J. F. Pajor <br />Member of the South Bend Police Department <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the Call for Special Meeting be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Korpal, Tellson, Christman, Kroll, Glass, Hahn and Erler. <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Erhardt and Muszynski. <br />Councilman Erhardt then entered the Council Chambers. Councilman Kroll made a motion to amend the roll call to in- <br />dicate Councilman Erhardt's presence. Councilman Christman seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call amended.) <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONEY FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE 1959 GENERAL STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be set for public hearing on December 14th, 1959. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Special Meeting of the Council, Councilman Hahn made a motion to <br />adjourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
