136 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 10, 1959 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole, <br />on Monday, August 10, 1959, at 8 :15 P.M., in the City Hall, with all members present except Councilman Hahn. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Joseph T. Kroll, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWW'EN TIE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, AND INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC COMPANY <br />Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing on this Ordinance. Speaking <br />for the Ordinance was Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, City Engineer, who explained the proposed location of the lights. <br />Also heard were Miss Virginia Guthrie, Mrs. Arlene Navarre and Mr. Fred DeFerbrache. <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS "THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA ". <br />(Fences, walls and hedges) <br />Public Hearing was had on this Ordinance. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this <br />Ordinance. <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Christman seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Muszynski made a motion that <br />the Committee of the Whole adjourn. Councilman Erhardt seconded the motion.
