<br />We hereby petition your Honorable body to take appropriate action to amend Ordinance #3702 by the adoption of the
<br />attached ordinance relative to fences, walls, and hedges.
<br />The attached ordinance amending Ordinance #3702 was legally advertised on June 22, 1959 and given public hearing
<br />date of July 2, 1959. The following action was taken:
<br />After due consideration the Commission found that substantial justice would be done by the favorable recommendation
<br />of the ordinance. It was therefore duly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the ordinance be recommended
<br />favorably to the Common Council.

<br />COMMUNICATION FROM MAYOR VOORDE
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />I, the undersigned, Edward F. Voorde, Mayor of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as required by Chapter 107 of
<br />the Acts of 1959, hereby fix the maximum salaries for the herein named appointed officers and employees of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, beginning January 1, 1960, and continuing thereafter until duly changed, and request that
<br />such maximum salaries be approved by the Common Council.
<br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the communication be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Christman seconded
<br />the motion. Motion carried.
