COMMUNICATION <br />MEMO TO: Mrs. Freda Noble, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Meeting of Railroad Officials <br />December 8, 1958 <br />Will you please remind the Councilmen at the meeting tonight that there will be a meeting of all railroad officials <br />to discuss the condition of the crossings and right of way in South Bend, on Thursday, December 11th at 1 :30 P.M., <br />in the Council Chambers. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE, THIRD READING <br />AN ORDIN..ANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702,"AS AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Lincolnway West <br />West of Sheridan & North of Elwood) <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Third Reading on the above Ordinance be set over until December:22, 1958. <br />Councilman Erhardt seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4252 - -58 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF TIE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING THE SUM <br />OF ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00) - TO BE- APPLIED TO THE COST OF <br />CONSTRUCTION, RE- CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS, AND EXPENSES <br />INCURRED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, AS AMENDED. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />December 8, 1958 <br />The attached petition of Edward and Virginia Buszkiewicz to rezone Lot 2 in Wooded Estates, generally described as <br />the Southwest corner of Ironwood Road and Oak Park Drive, from "A" residential Use District to "C" Commercial Use <br />District was legally advertised on 24 November 1958 and given public hearing on 4 December 1958. The following ac- <br />tion was taken: <br />After due consideration the Commission found that commercial use of subject area would be <br />an unwarranted intrusion into a residential area.
