COUNCILMAN ERHARDT, elected to fill the unexpired term of George W. Carr, was administered the Oath of Office by Mrs. Freda G. Noble, City Clerk. Mayor Voorde and President Korpal were present at the ceremony. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING DECEMBER 8, 1958 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole in the Council Chambers in the City Hall on Monday, December 8, 1958, with all members present. President Stanley Korpal asked Mr. Hahn to act as Chairman of the Committee of the Whole. The meeting was called to order at 8 :28 P.M. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, AS AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Lincolnway West) Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this Ordinance. Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Tellson seconded the motim . Motion carried.. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00) TO BE APPLIED TO THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION, RE- CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS, AND EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, AS AMENDED. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this Ordinance. Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance, as amended, go to the Council as favorable., Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion car- ried. There being.no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 8 :44 P.M.
