<br />BEND, INDIANA, FOR 1958, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. Respectfully report that they have examined the
<br />matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED Favorable.

<br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING:
<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN BOARD OF WATER WORKS COMMISSIONERS OF THE
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND CLYDE E. WILLIAMS & ASSOCIATES, INC., DATED AUGUST 25, 1958, FOR .
<br />SURVEY AND STUDY OF WATER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Kroll made a motion for
<br />suspension of the rules. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion lost by a roll call vote of 5 ayes, (Council- '
<br />men Korpal, Carr, Tellson, Kroll and Muszynski), 4 nays (Councilmen Christman, Glass, Hahn and Erler).
<br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on September 22, 1958. .Councilman Hahn
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />ORDINANCE, FIRST AND SECOND READING
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE
<br />OF BONDS OF SAID CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO BE APPLIED TO THE COST
<br />OF CONSTRUCTION, RE- CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS, AND EXPENSES INCURRED
<br />IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
<br />Councilman Christman moored that petitions to authorize issuance and sale of bonds be accepted and placed on .file.
<br />Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the Auditor's Certificate be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll second-
<br />ed the motion. Motion carried.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Kroll made a motion for suspen-
<br />sion of rules. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion lost by a. roll call vote of 5 ayes, 4 nays. Councilman
<br />Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public heating on September 22nd. Councilman Tellson seconded the
<br />motion. Motion carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a''motion to adjourn. Councilman
<br />Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Regular Meeting of the Common Council adjourned at 10 :19 P.M.
