32 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING: <br />MAY 26, 1958 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee. of:.the�Whole;..Couucil <br />Chambers, Monday, May 26, 1958, at 8:14 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Hahn and Muszynski. The (I <br />meeting was called to order by Councilman Carr, Chairman, who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(1017 East Dubail Avenue) <br />Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to bb heard on this matter. F. Gerard Feeney, Attorney for the <br />purchasers of said property was heard. There being no remonstrators, Councilman Kroll made a motion that the <br />Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND $28,000.00 TO <br />STREET DEPARTMENT PROPETIES ACCOUNT NO. S -724 MOTOR EQUIPMENT $28,000.00 <br />Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard on this ordinance. Councilman Christman asked Mr. <br />Richardson, Street Commissioner, if this appropriation were necessary, and if it would improve street sweeping. <br />Mr. Richardson explained the equipment they now have and stated that they will.attempt to sweep the streets all over <br />the city once a month. <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Korpal seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />There.being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn. Councij <br />man kroll seconded the motion.
