Egyhazi <br />Auditor, St. Joseph County, Indiana It <br />Councilman Reinke made a motion that this certificate be accepted and placed on file, seconded <br />by Councilman Palmer. Motion carried. <br />RESOLVE INTO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />Council President Laven entertained a motion to resolve the Council into the Committee of the <br />Whole. Councilman Reinke so moved, seconded by Councilman Palmer. Motion carried. Time 8:35 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the Committee <br />of the Whole in the Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, October 11, 1971 at <br />8:36 P.M., 9 members present, none absent. The meeting was called to order by Chairman William <br />W. Grounds who presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE <br />MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $89,200.00 <br />TO ACCOUNT MVH -42, "STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS" IN THE <br />MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. James E. Bickel, City Controller, <br />said that this Spring the Council had adopted a resolution for moneys from the local road and <br />street funds for 8 different projects with M.V.H. as the contractor. That money had already <br />been paid back to the Highway Department. This is a reappropriation of funds, the majority of <br />which will be used for the Winter's salt supply. Councilman Reinke made a motion that this <br />ordinance go to the Council as favorable, seconded by Councilman Craven. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $7,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO ACCOUNT <br />H -214, "TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH ", IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY BUDGET, SAID ACCOUNT <br />BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon.
