<br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $417,048.50 FROM
<br />THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO THE ACCOUNT
<br />"SERVICES CONTRACTUAL" WITHIN THE LOCAL ROAD
<br />AND STREET FUND.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Reinke made a motion, seconded by Councilman
<br />Zielinski, for passage of the ordinance. There being no discussion on the motion, the ordinance
<br />was passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Reinke, Craven, Grounds,
<br />Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski) 0 nays, 0 absent.

<br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY
<br />DESCRIBED AS ST. MARY'S ANNEXATION.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Reinke made a motion, seconded by Councilman
<br />Wise, for the defeat of the ordinance. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 6 ayes (Councilmen
<br />Allen, Reinke, Craven, Szymkowiak, Wise and Zielinski) 3 nays (Councilmen Laven, Grounds and
<br />Palmer) 0 absent.

<br />AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE MUNICIPAL
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WHICH IS GENERALLY
<br />DESCRIBED AS NOTRE DAME ANNEXATION.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Craven made a motion, seconded by Councilman
<br />Wise, for the defeat of the ordinance. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 6 ayes (Councilmen
<br />Allen, Reinke, Craven, Szymkowiak, Wise and Zielinski) 3 nays (Councilmen Laven, Grounds and
<br />Palmer) 0 absent.

<br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
<br />FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT FUND TO ACCOUNT NO. 261,
<br />"OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES" IN THE DEPARTMENT
<br />OF REDEVELOPMENT.
<br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Reinke
<br />made a motion, seconded by Councilman Palmer, that the ordinance be set for public hearing on
<br />February 8, 1971. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent.

<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL SALARIES, PAYABLE
<br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND, FOR OFFICERS OF THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND TO BE ELECTED FOR THE TERM COMMENC-
<br />ING JANUARY 1, 1972 AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE
<br />SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT, AS AMENDED.
<br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Palmer
<br />made a motion, seconded by Councilman Grounds, that the ordinance be set for public hearing on
<br />February 8, 1971. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 rays, 0 absent.
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />A.RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY TRANSFER
<br />OF IDLE FUNDS TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CIVIL
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />Council - President Laven instructed the Clerk to only read the title of the Resolution. He
<br />entertained a motion to defer the public hearing until the next Council meeting held on February
<br />8, 1971. Councilman Reinke so moved, seconded by Councilman Allen. Motion carried unanimously.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Zielinski moved for
<br />adjournment. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. Time: 12:45 a.m.
