REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 24, 1970 REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION August 21, 1970 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend County -City Building South Bend, Ind. Gentlemen: An ordinance amending Section 23 (c) of Ordinance 4990 -68, being Section 40 -8, (c) of the Muni- cipal Code, relating to action by the Common Council on unfavorable reports from the Area Plan Commission was legally advertised on August 8 and August 15, 1970, and given public hearing on August 18, 1970. The following action was taken: After due consideration, a motion was made by Jerry Miller and seconded by Father Matthew Kafka to table this ordinance for further consideration at the September meeting of the Area Plan Commission. Motion passed. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision will be forwarded to you at a later date. REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION August 21, 1970 The Honorable Common Council Re: North of Elwood & South of Keller City of South Bend on West side of Bendix Drive County -City Building South Bend, Ind. Gentlemen: The attached rezoning petition of Louis Gruszynski, et al. was legally advertised under date of August 8 and August 15 and was given public hearing on August 18, 1970. The following action was taken by the Area Plan Commission: After due consideration, a motion was made by Jerry Miller, seconded by Mr. Sporleder and unanimously passed that this ordinance be recommended favorably to the Common Council. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made a part of this report. REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION August 21, 1970 The Honorable Common Council Re: Belleville Shopping Center City of South Bend Ford St., Summit Dr., and Lombardy Dr. County -City Building South Bend, Ind. Gentlemen: The attached rezoning petition of A. C. Colpaert and Colpaert Realty Corp. was legally advertised on August 8 and August 15 and given public hearing on August 18, 1970. The following action was taken: After due consideration, Mr. Simeri moved, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the site plan and proposed ordinance be recom- mended favorably to the Common Council with the recommenda- tion to the developer to consider constructing an appropriate recreational building. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made a part of this report.
