'klN REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22, 1970 REPORT FROM COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the _City of South Bend: Your committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of June 8, 1970 meeting of the Council and found them correct. CITIZENS REQUESTS - MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS Mrs. Lee E. Swan, 2022 Swygart Ave., South Bend, commended Mr. James W. Adamson, Director of Sub - Standard Building Department, for doing such a fine job with the Sub - Standard housing section of the City Building Department. Mr. Forrest West, Building Commissioner, announced with regret the death of Anthony C. Raess, a valued employee in the Building Department. Councilman Laven instructed the Clerk to send a letter of condolence to the family. REPORTS FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION June 10, 1970 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Location: West of Michigan St. between Ireland Rd. & the By -Pass Gentlemen: The attached rezoning petition regarding a tract of land commonly known as the Royal Knight Inn and the Dairy Queen, and a parcel of land now being used as an office for an exterminator was legally advertised under date of May 9 and May 16 and given public hearing on May 19, 1970. The following action was taken on May 19, 1970: After due consideration it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the ordinance and site development plan be recommended favorably to the Common Council. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made a part of this report. REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION June 10, 1970 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Location: Ireland Rd., Main St., Callander St. Zoning - West of Michigan Gentlemen: Street between Ireland Road and the By -Pass The attached zoning petition of a parcel of land extending South of Ireland to the By -pass Right of -way around to U.S. 31 commonly known as Pleasantview Manor Subdivision was legally advertised under dates of May 9 and 16 and given public hearing on May 19, 1970. The following action was taken on May 19, 1970. . After due consideration, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the ordinance and site development plan be recommended favorably to the Common Council. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made a part of this report.
