REGULAR MEETING (Reconvened) Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, reconvened in the Council Chambers in the County -City Building on Monday, May 25, 1970; at 9:55 p.m. Council Presi- dent Laven presiding. REPORT FROM THE COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the May ll, 1970 meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved. /s/ Robert O. Laven s/ Janet S. Allen /s/ Albert E. Palmer There being no objections, the report was accepted as read and placed on file. CITIZENS REQUESTS - MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS Mr. Robert Trowbridge, 912 Gladstone Ave, South Bend, Indiana said no one attended the Area Plan Commission meeting concerning the zoning of property located between Mayflower Rd.,Penn Central R.R. and Linden Rd. because the first meeting was snowed out then rescheduled for the following week. Mrs. Lee Swan said she disagreed with some remarks made by Councilman Reinke at a recent Area Plan Meeting concerning public housing. Council- President replied that Councilman Reinke is not expressing an opinion of the entire Council. REPORT FROM THE CITY CONTROLLER The report of City Controller James A. Bickel for the month of April, 1970 was submitted to the Council, each Councilman having received a copy of the report prior to the meeting. There being no objections, the report was accepted and placed on file. REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION May 20, 1970 The Honorable Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana RE: Bockover property, approximately 900 ft. north of Jackson Road. Gentlemen: The attached rezoning petition originated by the Area Plan Commission was legally advertised on date of May 9 and May 16, 1970 and was given public hearing on May 19, 1970: After due consideration, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed that the ordinance be recommended favorably to the Common Council The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the excerpts of the minutes attached hereto and made a part of this report.
