E REGULAR MEETING MAY 26, 1969 REPORT OF CITY CONTROLLER The Report of the City Controller for the month of April,-.1969, was submitted to the Council, each Councilman having received a copy of the report prior to the meeting. Councilman Allen made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Grounds seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCES, THIRD READING ORDINANCE NO. 5084 -69 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND CERTAIN LAND CONTIGUOUS THERETO. (Location: State Road #23 South Bend Avenue and Vaness Street) The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes (Councilmen Wise Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Zielinski and Palmer) 0 nays. ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO ACCOUNT P --722. "MOTOR EQUIPMENT" IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,820.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAID SUM FROM ACCOUNT P -11, "SERVICES PERSONAL" IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Grounds made a motion that the Ordinance be given public hearing on June 9, 1969. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000.00 TO ACCOUNT P -262, "MEDICAL, SURGICAL AND DENTAL" IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowi made a motion that the Ordinance be given public hearing on June 9, 1969. Councilman Zielinski seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND CONCERNING THE PURCHASE OF LAND AND THE CONSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE, OPERATION AND FINANCING OF OFF STREET PARKING FACILITIES THEREON, THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS TO PROVIDE THE COST THEREOF, THE COLLECTION, SEGREGATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE REVENUES OF SAID PROJECT, THE SAFEGUARDING OF THE INTERESTS OF THE HOLDERS OF SAID BONDS, AND OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED THEREWITH. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Grounds made a motion that the Ordinance be given public hearing on June 9, 1969., Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Motion carried. Council- President Laven called for a show of hands on the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 5 ayes,(Councilmen Laven, Grounds, Palmer Reinke and Craven) 4 nays, (Councilmen Wise, Allen.
