REGULAR MEETING MAY 26, 1969 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chambers in City Hall on Monday, May 26, 1969, at 8:05 p. m., all members present. The meeting was called to order by Council President Robert O. Laven, who presided. The invocation was given by Reverend Stephen Kalabany, Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1836 Portage Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilman Laven, Allen, Craven, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Zielinski, Palmer and Reinke. ABSENT: None CITIZENS REQUESTS - MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS - None *Report of Committee on Minutes (omitted by mistake -- appears at end of minutes.) PETITIONS Petition to Amend Zoning Ordinance WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as hereinafter requested, and in support of this application, the following facts are shown: 1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at 309 North Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Indiana. 2. The property is owned by Marathon Oil Company, an Ohio Corporation, Findlay, Ohio. 3. A legal description of the property is as follows: A part of Lot Numbered 65 as shown on the recorded Plat of Jefferson Heights Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, which part is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point 154 feet South of the original North East corner of said Lot No. 65; thence West 130.2 feet to the East line of a public alley; thence South on said East line of the public alley, a distance of 48 feet; thence East 130.2 feet to the West line of Ironwood Drive (which is the East line of said Lot No. 65); thence North along the said West line of Ironwood Drive, a distance of 48 feet to the place of beginning, and being known as Lot Numbered 189 as shown on the Unrecorded Plat of Jefferson Heights Second Addition to said City of South Bend.
