REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 1969 <br />CITIZENS REQUESTS - MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS <br />None. <br />D1: MTMTnWC <br />PETITION TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE <br />I (We), the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the <br />Common Council of the City of South Bend to amend the Zoning Ordinance of South <br />Bend, Indiana as hereinafter requested, and in support of this application, the <br />following facts are shown: <br />1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at the East side of Maple <br />and Douglas Roads. <br />2. The property is owned by Hartman Builders, Inc., <br />2801 Tomahawk Trail <br />South Bend, Indiana 26628 <br />3. A legal description of the property is as follows: Real Estate in St. <br />Joseph County, State of Indiana: A part of the South West Quarter of Section <br />No. 27, in Township No. 38 North, Range 2 East, which part is described as <br />follows, viz: <br />"Beginning at the North West corner of the South West Quarter of <br />Section No. 27, thence East along the East and West center line of said <br />section, a distance of 660 feet; thence South parallel with the West line <br />of said Section a distance of 330 feet South of the place of beginning; <br />thence North 330 feet to the place of beginning, containing 5 acres, more <br />or less." <br />Adjacent property to the North is owned by St. Joseph County - County Home. <br />Property across Maple Rd. to the West is owned by Acorn Cove. Corp. <br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned: <br />From E Heavy Industrial Use and A Height and Area District. <br />To "A" Residential Use and A Height and Area District. <br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the. <br />following building(s) will be constructed (include number of dwelling units <br />if residential) <br />Ten Residential Units <br />6. Number of Off street parking spaces to be provided: None <br />7. Attached is a copy of: a.) an existing plot plan showing the property and <br />other surrounding properties; b.) names and addresses of all the individuals, <br />firms or corporations owning property within 300 feet of the property sought <br />to be rezoned; c.) site development plan. <br />/s/ William H. The property sought to be rezoned is located at: Between the East shore of <br />the St. Joseph River and the Michigan Central Railroad right -of -way, approxi- <br />mately 200 feet North of the Angela Bridge. <br />2. The property is owned by: Whitcomb and Keller, Inc. <br />3.
