PETITIONS
<br />We, the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Common Council of the City of South
<br />Bend to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana as hereinafter requested, and in support'
<br />of this application, the following facts are shown:
<br />1. The property sought to be rezoned is located on the east side of Bendix Drive, south of Crumstown Avenue
<br />(now known as Ardmore Trail) and north of Green Street, in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
<br />2. The property is owned by the petitioner, the Bendix Corporation, and is subject to a contractual right
<br />purchase by the petitioner, AAA Federal Credit Union Inc., conditional upon rezoning.
<br />3. A legal description of the property is as follows:
<br />Lots Number Thirty -Six (36), Thirty - seven (37), Thirty -eight (38), Thirty -nine (39), Forty (40), Forty -one
<br />(41), and Forty -two (42), comprising a total of seven lots of the Plat of Westchester Addition, First Unit,
<br />located in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, the said Plat being dated August 1929 and
<br />having been recorded on September 4, 1929, in Plat Book Thirteen (13) at page 66 in the Records of St.
<br />Joseph County, Indiana.
<br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned:
<br />From "B" Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District (Lots 37 -42)
<br />From "A" Residential Use and "A!' Height and Area District (Lot 36)
<br />To "C -1" Commercial Use and "A" Height and Area District (All lots) k
<br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the following building will be
<br />constructed:
<br />A building will be erected to house the Credit Union operation of the petitioner, AAA Federal Credit
<br />Union Inc., pursuant to the Site plan and alternate site plan provided herein.
<br />The building will be used for the offices of the petitioner, AAA Federal Credit Union Inc., and for
<br />its credit union business, which is essentially in the nature of a bank business.
<br />6. Number of off street parking spaces to be provided: twenty (20) automobiles
<br />7. Attached is a copy of: a.) an existing plot plan showing my property and other surrounding properties;
<br />b.) names and addresses of all the individuals, firms or corporations owning property within 300 feet of
<br />the property sought to be rezoned; c.) site development plan.
