<br />RESOLUTION NO. 181 -68
<br />A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
<br />IN ACCOUNT 722, "MOTOR EQUIPMENT ", OF THE DE-
<br />PARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF
<br />FIVE HUNDRED ($500.00) DOLLARS, AND THE TRANS-
<br />FER OF SAME FROM ACCOUNT 725, "OFFICE EQUIP-
<br />MENT:, ALL IN THE SAME CATEGORY, AND WITHIN
<br />THE REDEVELOPMENT FUND.
<br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget,
<br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the
<br />various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and
<br />WHEREAS, Additional funds for the purchase of one automobile is needed by the Department of Redevelopment
<br />to assure its ability to function and the sum of $500.00 is needed forthwith; and
<br />WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed; and more specifically as
<br />follows, to -wit:
<br />$500.00 in Account 725 designated
<br />as "Office Equipment"
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $500.00 be
<br />transferred from Account 725 designated as "Office Equipment" to Account 722 designated as "Motor Equipment ",
<br />both of said accounts being in the same category "Properties" and being with -in the Redevelopment Fund.

<br />Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the Resolution be adopted by a roll call vote. Councilman Reinke
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. 7 ayes, (Councilmen Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak,
<br />Palmer, and Zielinski). 0 nayes, 2 absent, (Councilmen Laven and Wise).

<br />A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
<br />IN ACCOUNT Q -722 MOTOR EQUIPMENT, OF THE FIRE
<br />DEPARTMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED
<br />FIFTY($350.00) DOLLARS, AND THE TRANSFER OF
<br />SAME FROM ACCOUNT Q -726 OTHER EQUIPMENT, ALL
<br />IN THE SAME CATEGORY, AND WITHIN THE GENERAL
<br />FUND.
<br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget,
<br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the
<br />various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and
<br />WHEREAS, Additional funds for the purchase of one cab and chassis is needed by the Fire Department to assure
<br />its ability to function and the sum of $350.00 is needed forthwith; and
<br />WHEREAS, A surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed; and more specifically as
<br />follows, to -wit:
<br />$350.00 in Account Q -726 designated
<br />as Other Equipment
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, That the sum of $350.00 be
<br />transferred from Account Q -726 designated as "Other Equipment" to Account Q -722 designated as "Motor
<br />Equipment ", both of said accounts being in the same category "Properties" and being within the General Fund.

<br />A RESOLUTION FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
<br />IN ACCOUNT P -725, "OFFICE EQUIPMENT ", OF THE
<br />POLICE DEPARTMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $600.00
<br />AND THE TRANSFER OF THE SAME FROM ACCOUNT
<br />P -722, "MOTOR EQUIPMENT ", ALL IN THE SAME
<br />CATEGORY, AND WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND.
<br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget,
<br />so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the
<br />various functions of city government to meet such extraordinary contingencies; and
<br />WHEREAS, additional funds for the Police Department are needed to assure the department's ability to
<br />properly perform its functions, and the sum of $600.00 is needed forthwith; and
<br />WHEREAS, a surplus exists in another account where it is not presently needed; and more specifically
<br />as follows, to -wit
<br />$600.00 in Account P -722 designated as "Motor Equipment"
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, that the sum of $600.00
<br />be transferred from Account P -722 designated as "Motor Equipment" to Account P -725 designated as "Office
<br />Equipment ", both of said accounts being in the same category "Properties" and being within the General
<br />Fund..
