Subject to all legal highways. be and the same is hereby annexed to said City of South Bend, all of which contiguous territory shall hereafter form a part of the said City of South Bend and be within its jurisdiction, and said territory is hereby consolidated with and made a part of the said City of South Bend. SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor and legal publication. Councilman Taylor seconded the motion. The motion carried. Councilman Miller then made a motion that the ordinance pass, as amended, seconded by Councilman Taylor. Councilman Kopczynski felt the Council should not act on the ordinance because many of the portions of the area were not residen- tial areas, and many of the areas recently annexed to the city have not been given city services. e felt this might happen in the newly annexed area. Councilman Parent asked Council President emeth to outline the general area to be annexed. Council.President Nemeth summarized the area eing considered for annexation. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of five ayes (Councilmen rerge, Miller, Parent, Taylor and Nemeth) and three nays (Councilmen Szymkowiak, Kopczynski and ewburn) with Councilman Horvath absent. RDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS THERETO (GERMAN TOWNSHIP). ilman Taylor made a motion that the ordinance be stricken from the .files, seconded by ilman Newburn. The motion carried. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 431 -74 A RESOLUTION FINDING AND ADJUDGING THAT THE FINANCING OF FACILITIES FOR PRAIRIE COMPANY BY THE ISSUANCE BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, OF ITS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS PERTAINING TO SUCH FACILITIES FOR SUCH ENTITY WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO THE HEALTH OR WELFARE OF THIS MUNICIPALITY, AND APPROVING THE FINANCING THEREFOR. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, heretofore has created the South Bend Development Commission, hereinafter referred to as "Commission", pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended, supplemented or added to, including but not limited to the amendments, supplements or additions of IC -1973, 18 -6 -4.5 or any other amendments, supplements or additions thereto, hereinafter referred to as the "Act "; and
