Nemeth <br />presiding. The meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. <br />ROLL CALL PRESENT: Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, <br />Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, <br />Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth. <br />ABSENT: Councilman Parent. <br />Council President Nemeth announced that items 3C, 3D and 3E on the agenda (rezonings of recently <br />annexed land at the southwest corner of State Road 23 and Locust; the northwest corner of Linden <br />and Chippewa; and State Road 23, U.S. 20 -31 Bypass and Linden Road) would not have a public hearin, <br />at this time because there was some question on whether or not the properties were legally within <br />the city. <br />Councilman Kopczynski made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Counci <br />Taylor. The motion carried. <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the Who <br />on Monday, June 24, 1974, at 7:08 p.m., with eight members present and one member absent. Chairma <br />Odell Newburn presided. <br />
