REGULAR MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED (CONTINUED <br />FEBRUARY 11, 1980 <br />.S 10.,3 <br />A public hearing was held on the resolutions at this time. Ms. Kathryn Baumgartner, Acting <br />Director of the Bureau of Housing indicated that Resolutions 756 through 759 -80 should be <br />amended in Section I to reflect the name of the non - profit group as Renew, Inc. Council Member <br />Taylor made a motion to amend these resolutions, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The <br />motion carried.. Mr. LaMar Wilson, of the Neighborhood Housing Service, which is a private <br />non - profit group, explained.their services and how they were assisting in the rehabilitation <br />of blighted homes. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 755 -80, <br />seconded by Council Member Kopczynski. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine <br />ayes. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 756 -80, as amended, seconded <br />by Council Member Kopczynski. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />Council Member Taylor made a.motion to adopt Resolution No. 757 -80, as amended, seconded by <br />Council Member Beck. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. Council <br />Member Beck made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 758 -80, as amended, seconded by Council <br />Member Szymkowiak. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. Council <br />Member Taylor made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 759 -80, as amended, seconded by Council <br />Member Beck. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />BILLS, FIRST READING <br />BILL NO. 17 -80 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (NORTHWEST CORNER OF <br />(STATE ROAD #23 AND JACOB STREET.) <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to refer this bill to Area <br />Plan, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 18 -80 <br />This bill had first <br />hearing and second <br />carried. <br />BILL NO. 19 -80 <br />A BILL AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LOAN AGREEMENT AND TRUST <br />INDENTURE AND BONDS AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS PERTAINING TO RAITT CORPORATION PROJECT. <br />reading. Council Member Taylor made. a motion to set this bill for public <br />reading February 25, 1980, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion <br />A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY THE INCLUSION OF NEW ARTICLE 6, ENTITLED <br />TAX ABATEMENT PROCEDURES. <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to refer this bill to the Human Resources and Economic <br />Development Committee, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council Member <br />Beck made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Voorde.
