<br />Be,it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council Chambers of
<br />the County -City Building on Monday, November 14, 1977, at 7:00 p.m. Council President Parent
<br />presiding. The meeting was.called to order, and the Pledge to the Flag was given.,

<br />PRESENT: Council Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski,
<br />Adams, Dombrowski, Horvath and Parent
<br />ABSENT: None
<br />REPORT FROM THE SUB - COMMITTEE ON MINUTES
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your sub- committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes would respectfully
<br />report that it has inspected the minutes of the October 24, 1977, meeting of the Council and
<br />found them correct.
<br />The sub - committee, therefore, recommends that the same be approved.

<br />Council Member Horvath made a motion that the minutes of the October 24, 1977, meeting of the
<br />Council be placed on file, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried.
<br />REPORT OF COUNCIL COMMITTEES
<br />Council President Parent said that the Residential Neighborhoods Committee had met regarding
<br />redistricting of councilmanic districts, and decided to establish a sub- committee comprised
<br />of one Republican and one Democrat from each district. He said the following people had been
<br />suggested: First District - Dorothy Derda,.Republican, Miles Hoffman, Democrat; Second District
<br />Louvenia Cain, Replublican, Pat Kyle, Democrat; Third District - George Proctor- Smith, Democrat,
<br />Carl Fisher, Republican; Fourth District - Robert Raymond, Republican, Paul,, Herr, Democrat, who
<br />will serve as the chairman of the sub- committee; Fifth District - Jeannette Moeller, Republican,
<br />Kathy Barnard, Democrat; Sixth District - Jerry Ujdak, Democrat, Frank Polack, Republican.
<br />Council Member Kopczynski made a motion that the Council appoint these people to the sub- committe'
<br />seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried with Council Member Szymkowiak opposing.
<br />Council Member Adams made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Counci�
<br />Member Kopczynski. The motion carried.
<br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the
<br />Whole on Monday, November 14, 1977, at 7:12 p.m., with nine members present. Chairman Frank
<br />Horvath presiding.
