<br />That the transfer of funds as set forth in Section I and Section II are required for the proper
<br />and efficient operation and function of the Department of Public Parks of South Bend and an
<br />extraordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing transfer.
<br />This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Counc
<br />of the City of South Bend.

<br />A public hearing was held at this time on this resolution. Mr. James R. Seitz, Superintendent of
<br />Parks indicated they were requesting this transfer because there was a shortage in account 430.0
<br />because of price increases, unforeseen repairs to equipment and a reduction in the request amount
<br />that was proposed for this account. He said it would be doubtful if this $1,000 would be suffici
<br />for the balance of the year.
<br />Council Member Adams made a mtoion that this resolution be adopted, seconded by Council Member
<br />Dombrowski. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Council Members Serge,
<br />Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Adams, Dombrowski, Horvath and Parent).

<br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to refer this ordinan
<br />to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried.

<br />This ordinance had first reading. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to strike this ordinan
<br />and the petition, due to the fact that this property was not in the city limits, seconded by Coun
<br />Member Taylor. The motion carried.
