REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED (CONTINUED) <br />he felt "haste makes waste ", and he advised the Council to consider thoroughly every item brought <br />before it. There was a call for the question. The motion was lost as Councilman Szymkowiak cast <br />the dissenting vote. He indicated that the amount of the transfer was part of his salary that he <br />had elected not to take and he felt it should be used for capital improvements. <br />Councilman Miller made a motion that the next regular meeting of the Council, scheduled for <br />December 15, 1975, convene at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council President Parent asked for suspension of the rules in order to have first reading on the <br />following ordinance: <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE BALANCE OF <br />$84,647.47 FROM THE TRACK ELEVATION FUND <br />TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA. <br />Councilman Horvath made a motion to suspend the rules and have first reading, seconded by <br />Councilman Serge. The motion was lost as Councilman Szymkowiak cast the dissenting vote. <br />Councilman Nemeth indicated that he understood that the ordinance would relieve the existing <br />deficit in the budget. He suggested that the Council strike the ordinance from the record. He <br />made such a motion, seconded by Councilman Newburn. The motion carried. <br />There being, no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Councilman Taylor <br />made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski.
