South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting -July 18, 2008
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
L Ratification of Services Contracts
Dr. Varner asked about the need for Phase 1
Environmental Assessments. Mr. Inks responded
that that is part of the Commission's due diligence
whenever it acquires property.
Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by Dr.
Varner and unanimously carried, the Commission
ratified the contracts approved by staff since
June 25, 2008.
7. PROGRESS REPORTS
Mr. Inks noted that staff intends to give the Commission
an update on the Douglas Road Development Area
project at the August 1 meeting. There was an article in
the paper several weeks ago that started some questions.
Mr. Inks noted that staff has begun putting the full
Commission packet on the city's Web site at the time
the packet is delivered to Commissioners. He noted that
late information that gets e-mailed to the Commissioners
does not necessarily get posted on the Web.
Mr. Inks noted that staff has also created a folder for
meeting notices that change the normal schedule of
Commission meetings, either canceled meetings or
special meetings, etc. The folder under Boards &
Commissions/Redevelopment Commission is called
Current Notices.
Dr. Varner suggested we also put that notice on the
Mayor's announcement page. Staff will look into how
that can be done.
8. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING
Mr. Inks announced a Special Meeting to be held on
July 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. (That meeting has since
COMMISSION RATIFIED THE CONTRACTS
APPROVED BY STAFF SINCE JUNE 25, 2008
PROGRESS REPORTS
NEXT COMMISSION MEETING
36
