Tax Abatements <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2471 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 4201 Linden <br />Avenue in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (Foxtrot Realty) <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />project. Items 6.B.(4) and 6.B.(5) are related <br />and the staff report is combined for both. <br />Mr. Mathia noted that Foxtrot and GTA <br />containers requested that the city reconsider <br />the points awarded to them for real property <br />tax abatement so that they could qualify for <br />one additional year of abatement (7 years). <br />Twenty-nine of their thirty-nine employees <br />are minority, of which seventeen are from <br />designated distressed census tracts. They <br />could earn additional points for those <br />employees and qualify for an additional year <br />of abatement. Substitute Resolution <br />No. 2471 was provided to the Commission at <br />the meeting to reflect the change to seven <br />years. <br />GTA Containers and Foxtrot Realty <br />Corporation, the real estate holding company <br />for GTA Containers, are proposing to <br />construct and equip a 90,000 sft building on <br />an undeveloped portion of a 20-acre site they <br />already own. The building will be owned by <br />Foxtrot Realty and leased to GTA <br />Containers. The project will enable GTA to <br />more than double its current manufacturing <br />capacity, allowing the company to bid on <br />large, multi-year contracts with the U.
