The Historic Preservation
Commission of South Bend, and Saint Joseph County, having reviewed the matter, reports to the
City that the property in question meets the City Ordinance Criteria for a local historic landmark,
and recommends to the City that Historic Landmark designation be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1. That the above described real property, consisting of house, attached garage, and
landscaped lawn, (insert legal description) commonly called the Junior League House, is herby
designated and established as an Historic Landmark under Ordinance 5565-73, as amended.
Section 2. That if the house and garage are, in the future, moved to another location, they shall
remain an Historic Landmark, at their new location.
