<br />PETITION TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE (CONTINUED)
<br />more or less, to a point on the North line of Widener's Addition;
<br />thence East a distance of 537 feet to the East line of said section,
<br />which is also the center line of Miami Street; thence North along said
<br />East line to the point of beginning containing approximately 4.28 acres,
<br />subject to legal highways.
<br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned from "A"
<br />Residential Use and "A" Height and Area District to "C -2" Commercial Use and "B" Height
<br />and Area District.
<br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the
<br />following building(s) will be constructed: A planned shopping center; the first con-
<br />templated construction will be a single -story building of approximately 3,200 square
<br />feet to be used as a branch bank.
<br />6. Number of off - street parking spaces to be provided: 26 for the branch bank
<br />and 160 for the remainder.
<br />7. Attached is a copy of (a) an existing plot plan showing my property and
<br />other surrounding properties; (b) names and addresses of all the individuals, firms
<br />or corporations owning property within 300 feet of the property sought to be rezoned;
<br />(c) site development plan.

<br />BOTH ACCOUNTS ARE IN THE GENERAL PARK FUND.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Taylor made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Serge. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).

<br />FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS IMPROVEMENT FUND
<br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING SEWER
<br />CLEANING EQUIPMENT.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Taylor made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Horvath. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5758 -74 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF
<br />$110,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER
<br />BUILDING AND SINKING FUND (Model Cities
<br />Sewer Separation Project).
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Horvath made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Taylor. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).

<br />TION OF GASOLINE DISPENSING EQUIPMENT
<br />TO BE LOCATED AT 701 WEST SAMPLE STREET.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Horvath. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).

<br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND

<br />SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PRO -
<br />GRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT
<br />OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
<br />Councilman Taylor made a motion to continue the ordinance to the November 12, 1974, meeting of the
<br />Council, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The motion carried.
