<br />Highland Estates Subdivision 3rd Section; thence S. 00005107" E.
<br />a distance of 1,465.95 feet, more or less, to the South line of
<br />said Southwest Quarter (being also the centerline of Lathrop Street);
<br />thence Westerly along said South line of said Southwest Quarter a
<br />distance of 1,432.78 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of
<br />said Southwest Quarter; thence N. 00000150" E. a distance of 869.74
<br />feet, more or less, along the West line of said Southwest Quarter
<br />(being also the centerline of Maple Road) to the point of beginning,
<br />containing 46.14 acres, more or less, and subject to legal highways.
<br />4. It is desired and requested that the foregoing property be rezoned from "A"
<br />Residence Use and "A" Height and Area District to "D" Light Industrial Use and "A" Height
<br />and Area District.
<br />5. It is proposed that the property will be put to the following use and the
<br />following building(s) will be constructed: A service building, storage yard, offices
<br />and garage for the South Bend Division of Indiana and Michigan Electric Company, some
<br />or all of which uses are presently being carried on at a similar facility of Indiana and
<br />Michigan Electric Company on real estate in the downtown area of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, known as 401 East Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46617.
<br />6. Number of off - street parking spaces to be provided: 100.
<br />7. Attached is a copy of (a) an existing plot plan showing my property and other
<br />surrounding properties; (b) names and addresses of all individuals, firms or corporations
<br />owning property within 300 feet of the property sought to be rezoned; (c) site development
<br />plan.

<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Taylor made a motion that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Council-
