East Res. <br />* Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, <br />then the authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect. <br /> <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: <br />This budget request is for $200,000 for the design of Ewing trail located on the south side of Ewing Ave <br />from Gertrude to Olive <br /> <br />SPECIFICS: <br />The budget request represents the first funding request toward the design of the New Ewing Trail, a <br />proposed 10-foot separated multi-use path that will connect the existing trail south of E. Ewing Avenue to <br />Olive Street. <br /> <br />The initial request is for $200,000, which will cover design services through Stage 1 Review, equivalent to <br />30% design plans. In addition to the trail design, the funding will support an engineering assessment of the <br />Ewing Avenue/Prairie Avenue intersection to help guide the City’s selection of an appropriate intersection <br />improvement. <br /> <br />The project is INDOT funded, with 80% of the costs being reimbursed. <br /> <br />It is requested that the Redevelopment commission approves $200,000 from South Side TIF to cover the <br />design until the stage 1 review (30%). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________ ___________Pres/V-Pres <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: __________ ________Secretary <br /> <br />Date: _____________ _______ <br /> <br /> APPROVED Not Approved <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
