37 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 25, 1982 This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. John Leszczynski, Director of Public Works, made the presentation for the bill. He indicated this appropriation was from interest earned on the investment of General Obligation Bond Funds. He indicated the money would be used for the purchase of motor equipment needed for the operation of the Street Department. Council Member Serge made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Szymkowiak. The motion carried. BILL NO. 117 -82 A BILL APPROPRIATING $7,200.00 FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUND, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS ACTIVITY TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Colleen Rosenfeld, Dirctor of Community Development, made the presentation for the bill. She indicated this appropriai would provide the LaSalle Filmore, Northeast and Southeast Neighborhood Centers with $2,400 each for a twelve month period in order to support their non - personnel operationa -7 costs. She indicated that these centers previously received the bulk of their funding through ACTION. Council Member Taylor made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried. BILL NO. 118 -82 A BILL APPROPRIATING $65,574.00 FROM THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FUND FOR CAPITAL REPAIRS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Chief Brassell made the presentatic for the bill. He indicated this appropriation would complete funding for the reconditio3 of the Fire Department Snorkel. Council Member Szymkowiak made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Beck. The motion carried. There being no further business to Member McGann made a motion to rise Member Crone. The motion carried. This bill had second reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Szymkowiak. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 7119 -82 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $161,000.00 FROM THE MUNICIPAL BONDS OF 1981 FUND FOR MOTOR EQUIPMENT WITHIN THE STREET DEPARTMENT. This bill had second reading. Council Member Szymkowiak made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Serge. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes.
