SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 1982 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, September 20, 1982, at 7:30 a.m. The meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Serge, Szymkowiak Beck, Taylor, Zielinski, Crone, Harris, Voorde and McGann Absent: None CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 17,1982 TO: JOSEPH T. SERGE, WALTER M. SZYMKOWIAK, BEVERLIE BECK, LEWIS MCGANN, ROBERT G. TAYLOR, BEVERLY D. CRONE, JOHN VOORDE, RAYMOND C. ZIELINSKI AND JOHN J. HARRIS, JR. This is to notify you that I herewith call a special meeting of the South Bend Common Council to be held in the Council Chambers, 4th Floor, County -City Building, at 7:30 a.m., on Monday, September 20, 1982. The purpose of the meeting is as follows: A. Second Reading and public hearing on Bill No. 106 -82 entitled "An Ordinance to Recind Ordinance Number 7098 -82 and to Appropriate $500,000 From The- -1982 Community Block Grant Fund to Supplement the Economic Development Capital Fund to.be.. Administered by the City of South Bend, Indiana, Through Its Division of Community Development." B. Action by Council on Bill No. 106 -82 C. Adjournment /s/ Roger 0. Parent Roger 0. Harris, Jr. /s/ John Voorde or by leaving a Certified copy thereof at the last and usual place f residence of such members as I was unable to find, as follows: /s/ Steve L. Fishburn #519 Member of the South Bend Police Department Council Member Beck made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Serge. The motion carried. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the Whole on Monday, September 20, 1982, at 7:34 a.m., with nine members present. Chairman Voorde presiding. BILL NO. 106 -82 A BILL to Recind Ordinance Number 7098 -82 and to Appropriate $500,000 From The 1982 Community Block Grant Fund to Supplement the Economic Development Capital Fund to be Administered by the City of South Bend, Indiana, Through Its Division of Community Development." Now is the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Mayor Parent made the presentation for the bill. He indicated he preferred the original bill filed with the Clerk. He indicated the attorneys for the South Bend Local Development Corporation have accepted this bile. He indicated he would not want an ordinance restricted to the Robertson's
