SPECIAL MEETING <br />APRIL 8, 1982 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council <br />Chambers of the County -City Building on Thursday, April 8, 1982, at 4:30 p.m. The <br />meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. <br />ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Beck, <br />Taylor, Zielinski, Crone, Dombrowski, <br />Voorde and McGann <br />Absent: None <br />TO: MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL <br />SUBJECT: CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />The Council Members signing below are calling a special meeting of the South Bend <br />Common Council to be held on Thursday, April 8, 1982, at 4:30 p.m., in the Council <br />Chambers on the fourth floor of the County -City Building. The purpose of this special <br />meeting is to vote on the following ordinance: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7042 -82 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING <br />VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 7, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS BUDGETARY PROCEDURES. <br />Vetoed by the Mayor <br />/s/ Lewis A. McGann <br />/s/ Walter M. Szymkowiak <br />/s/ Beverly D. Crone <br />/s/ Raymond C. Zielinski <br />/s/ Richard C. Dombrowski <br />/s/ Beverlie J. I served <br />this Call by reading it to each Councilman on that date, <br />/s/ Joseph T. Serge <br />/s/ Walter M. Szymkoiwak <br />/s/ Lewis A. McGann <br />/s/ Raymond Zielinski <br />/s/ John Voorde <br />or by leaving a certified copy thereof at the last and usual place of residence of <br />such members as I was unable to find, as follows: <br />Richard C. Dombrowski <br />Beverlie Beck <br />Beverly Crone <br />Robert G. Taylor <br />/s/ Cpl. James Earl Clark, Jr. #271 <br />Member of the South Bend Police Department <br />Council Member Crone made a motion to override the Mayor's veto, seconded by Council <br />Member Voorde. The motion carried on a roll call vote of six ayes and three nays <br />(Council Members Serge, Beck and Taylor.) <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Council Member Dombrowski <br />made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Taylor.
