SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 26, 1982 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Council <br />Chambers of the County -City Building on Friday, February 26, 1982, at 4:00 p.m. The <br />meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. <br />ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Szymkowiak, Beck, Taylor, Zielinski, <br />Dombrowski, Voorde and McGann <br />Absent: Council Members Serge and Crone <br />TO: MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL <br />SUBJECT: CALL FOR A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />The Council Members signing below are calling for a special meeting of the South Bend <br />Common Council to be held Friday, February 26, 1982, at 4:00 p.m., in the Council <br />Chambers on the Fourth Floor of the County -City Building. The purpose of this special <br />meeting is to have first reading and to set March 15, 1982 as the date for the 7 <br />p.m., public hearing, second reading and vote as to the passage of ordinances en- <br />titled: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING THE SALE OF BONDS OF <br />THE PARK DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INNDIANA APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF THREE <br />MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS (3,500,000.00) TO BE APPLIED ON THE CON - <br />STRUCTION AND SITE DEVELOPMENT OF A WATER RELATED RACEWAY (EAST RACEWAY), CON- <br />STRUCT "ION -OF A WALKWAY WITH LIGHTING BENEATH THE WEST END OF THE JEFFERSON STREET <br />BRIDGE, A WALKWAY WITH LIGHTING IN PLAZA PARK AND HOWARD PARK, AND PURCHASE OF <br />LAND NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND SITE DEVELOPMENT OF A WATER RELATED <br />RACEWAY (EAST RACEWAY) BY THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF THE PARK ,DISTRICT <br />OF THE CI`T'Y OF SOUTH BEND. <br />s/ Joseph T.Serge <br />s/ Robert G.
