REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 11, 1982 This bill had first reading. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Zielinski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 4 -82 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (INTERSECTION OF BRICK ROAD AND U.S. 31 BY- PASS.) This bill had first reading. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Beck. The motion carried. BILL NO. 5 -82 A BILL APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $46,534.33 FROM THE CUMULA- TIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND TO THE GENERAL IMPROVE- MENT FUND. This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to set this bill for public hearing and second reading, January 25, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 6 -82 A BILL REQUESTING VACATION OF VARIOUS PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY IN THE MONROE - SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT AREA IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to set this bill for public hearing and second reading, January 25, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 7 -82 A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE LICENSING OF PRECIOUS METALS DEALERS. This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to set this bill for public hearing and second reading, January 25, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 8 -82 A BILL RECODIFYING CHAPTER 1 AND A PORTION OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE. This bill had first reading. Council Member Zielinski made a motion to set this bill for public hearing and second reading, February 8, and refer it to the Recodification Committee, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 9 -82 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (1802 WERWINSKI.) This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Zielinski. The motion carried. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR Mayor Parent thanked the staff of the Street Department who have worked hard all weekend on snow removal. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Report from Area Plan, Bill No. 138 -81, 701 W. LaSalle, and Bill No. 139 -81, 2119 Portage. Council Member Dombrowski made a motion to set these bills for public hear- ing and second reading January 25, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Coun- cil Member Dombrowski made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Taylor.
