ORDINANCE NO. 6493 -78 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 15 -16 AND SECTION 15 -29 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS AMENDED. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that: SECTION 1: Subdivision (2) of Subsection W, Section 15 -16 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: 11(2) Mileage rates: Seventy -five Cents ($0.75) for the first one -fifth (1/5) of a mile or fraction thereof; there - after, Ten Cents ($0.10) for each additional one - seventh (1/7) of a mile or fraction thereof; and," SECTION 2: Section 15 -29 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is amended to read as follows: "A driver may permit persons other than the first person employing the taxicab to ride in any such taxicab, unless the first person shall refuse to permit additional persons." .SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.
