NEMETH, <br />' 1 <br />Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />August 21, 1978 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County /City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Communication's Budget Transfer <br />Dear Councilmen: <br />219/284 -9251 <br />Attached you will find an ordinance requesting a transfer of $1,500 from <br />Line 110, Salaries and Wages, Regular, to Line 726, Other Equipment. <br />Due to personnel changes within this Bureau during 1978, a surplus of <br />$1,500 presently exists within Line 110. It is proposed that this $1,500 <br />be transferred to Line 726, Other Equipment, in order to address the pur- <br />chase of a Dual -trace 30 MHz Oscilloscope. The present scope used by the <br />Bureau is old and in poor condition, not making it dependable. The old <br />scope was sent in for repair in 1978 and returned by the manufacturer with <br />advice that additional funds would be ill spent if directed toward repair <br />of this instrument. <br />Should you have any further questions in regard to these matters, please <br />contact me at your earliest convenience. <br />y yours, <br />Patrick M.
