Provide pressure pipeline with restrained joints. At connection locations with existing <br />pipeline provide thrust blocking at bend adjacent to the connection to the existing <br />pipeline. <br />E. Corporation Stop Assemblies: <br /> <br />1. Make connection for each different kind of water main, using suitable materials, <br />equipment, and methods as approved by Engineer. <br />2. Provide service clamps for mains constructed of materials other than cast iron or ductile <br />iron. <br />3. Location: <br />1. Screw corporation stops directly into tapped and threaded iron main at 10- and 2- <br />o'clock positions along main's circumference. <br />2. Locate and stagger corporation stops at least 12 inches apart longitudinally. <br />4. Use seals or other devices such that no leaks are present in mains at points of tapping. <br />5. Do not backfill and cover service connections until installation has been approved by <br />Owner. <br />F. Backfilling: <br />1. This work shall be in accordance with all applicable sections of the City of South Bend <br />Section 5-3.9.
