Violation Details:At the time of inspection on March 12, 2025, erosion of the tippingfloor had resulted in large <br /> depressions which exposed rebar in multiple areas. In addition, a large hole had developed in the east end of the <br /> tippingfloor. Water and waste had become trapped in this hole. <br /> Status Update October 10,2025:At the time of inspection,the previously documented hole in the tipping floor and <br /> exposed rebar were observed. Mr. Hanemann provided receipts for concrete used to attempt a repair on April 18, <br /> 2025, and a photo of the temporary repair to the tipping floor was provided via text message on October 15,2025. <br /> However, the April 18, 2025, repair was unsuccessful.A quote to cut out and replace the damaged section of the <br /> floor has been obtained, but the work is not yet contracted.A second attempt to temporarily repair the hole in the <br /> tipping floor has been contracted, but a date for the repair has not been established <br /> Status Update January 14,2026:At the time of inspection, the hole in the tippingfloor was being filled with sand <br /> and rock daily to create a workable surface. Mr. Havemann stated that the company has decided to resurface the <br /> entire tippingfloor and have the work done by a company based in DeMotte,IN. However, the project has not <br /> been scheduled <br /> Required Action: The damaged areas of the tipping floor must be repaired. <br /> A follow-up inspection to assess compliance will be conducted during the next routine inspection. <br /> Confidential Information <br /> In accordance with 329 IAC 6.1 (http:i/www.in.gov/legislative/iacJT03290/A0006I.PDF)a person submitting information <br /> to the department for which confidential treatment is requested shall make a written claim of confidentiality at the time of <br /> submittal of the information. A person may request confidential treatment of information at the time the information is <br /> acquired through the actions of the department,such as inspections.The written claim for confidential treatment may be <br /> broad,but must be sufficiently clear to allow for accurate identification of the information claimed to be confidential.
