4 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the <br />Council Chambers of the County -City Building on Monday, January 6, at 12 noon. The <br />meeting was called to order and the Pledge to the Flag was given. <br />ROLL CALL Present: Council Members Serge, Braboy, Puzzello, <br />Taylor, Zakrzewski, Paszek, Voorde and Beck <br />Absent: None <br />Council Member Braboy made a motion that the City Clerk, Irene Gammon, chair the <br />meeting, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to nominate Beverlie Beck for president, <br />seconded by Council Member Braboy. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to <br />nominate John Voorde for president, seconded by Council Member Voorde. Council <br />Member Taylor made a motion that the nominations be closed. The motion carried. <br />Council Member Beck was elected on a roll call vote of six ayes and two nays <br />(Council Members Zakrzewski and Voorde.) <br />Council Member Beck made a motion to nominate Eugenia Braboy for vice president, <br />seconded by Council Member Puzzello. Council Member Voorde made a motion to <br />nominate Thomas Zakrzewski for vice president, seconded by Council Member <br />Zakrzewski. Council Member Braboy made a motion that the nominations be closed, <br />seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. Council Member Braboy was <br />elected by a roll call vote of six ayes and two nays (Council Members Zakrzewski and <br />Voorde.) <br />Council Member Serge made a motion to nominate Ann Puzzello for Chairman of the <br />Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Paszek. Council Member Voorde <br />made a motion that the nominations be closed, seconded by Council Member Braboy. <br />Council Member Puzzello was elected by a roll call vote of eight ayes. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Voorde. <br />The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 12:07 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />APPROVED: <br />President <br />
