<br />December 16. Council Member Taylor made a motion to amend, seconded by Council
<br />Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. Mr. Fedder indicated the proceeds of this
<br />would will provide for the financing of the purchase of land and improvements and
<br />equipping real estate at 1134 Lincoln Way East and 1320 North Ironwood. He
<br />indicated approximately 12 new permanent jobs will be created. Council Member
<br />Taylor made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, as amended,
<br />seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried.
<br />BILL NO. 173 -85 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7357 - -84 TO PROVIDE SALARY
<br />ADJUSTMENTS AND SALARIES FOR NEW POSITIONS WITHIN THE HUMAN
<br />RIGHTS COMMISSION FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1986.
<br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents
<br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Glendarae Hernandez, a member
<br />of the Human Rights Commission, made the presentation for the bill. She indicated
<br />this bill establishes three new classifications with the Human Rights Department, as
<br />well as increases the salary of the Director. Edward levy, 737 S. Eddy, spoke in
<br />favor of this bill. Council Member Taylor made a motion to recommend this bill to
<br />the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council
<br />Member Taylor made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council
<br />Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried.
